no-plan-b

Work like there’s no plan B. Adapt, Adjust and continue your journey. Plan B could be a distraction and become your excuse.

Thought for Today Monday, December 5, 2016

Everyone has goals, aspirations, plans and wants. Everyone is looking for something different, perhaps something better. Everyone believes that somewhere out there there’s something to be claimed. Everyone is looking for their own pot of gold.

Everyone sets a goal because they believe that reaching this goal is the key to something. Everyone believes that opportunity awaits if only they reach this goal. Everyone thinks this. Well, at least they should.

img_1222It has been stated that upwards of 75% of all changed in our lives has been thrust upon us; we’ve had very little if any choice in the matter. Unfortunately most, if not all of this change is unwanted. We must work daily understanding that change is inevitable. We must work daily on being a catalyst for positive change in our lives.

Happy Monday

Decision Making Principle

“I don’t want to make decisions because they are easy; I don’t want to make decisions because they are cheap; I don’t want to make decisions because they are popular; I want to make my decisions because they are right.  That’s my basic principle.”

On an earlier post, I talked about “being true to thine own self”.  A question came up about how to do that when you have so many others in your life.  You have kids, spouses, employers, etc.  Many people you are responsible for and accountable to.  I was asked how I did it.

For me it has all been about decisions.  Every situation, every instance, every occasion that required me to make a decision that affected my family, my job, my life, I made a decision that in my heart was right and correct.

This gave me peace.  And peace is what I was looking for.  I needed and wanted to be in peace with myself.

Somewhere along the line I read a statistic that showed that a logical person, given the facts of the moment, makes the correct decision 99% of the time.  True, circumstance may change immediately after the decision is made which will make it necessary for you to make a new and improved decision.  But the fact remains the same:  a decision was made, a correct decision was made, a right decision was made.

How are you making your decisions?
