Explore. Dream. Discover

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by those that you did do.  So throw off the bowlines.  Sail away from the safe harbor.  Catch the trail winds in your sails.  Explore.  Dream.  Discover.” ~ Mark Twain

We all have disappointments, setbacks, obstacles and everyday ordinary nuisances that interfere with our plans, wishes and desires.  I am no different from anyone else, however I can honestly say that where I stand today I am extremely satisfied with where I am this point in my life.

I have always been one to stick my neck out, to go out on a limb, to take a chance, to see what’s on the other side of the door.  More often than not, things have not turned out the way I had planned.  But the rewards of those few times that did work out for me are so big and powerful that the disappointments pale in comparison.

Some five years ago, I took a chance of historic proportions.  And it has paid unimaginable rewards.

After my 50th birthday, I found myself very content with my family life and my professional life.  It was for “me” that I wanted something different and what I ended up discovering would have been an impossibility just a few short years back.  Call it timing.  Call it fate.  Call it what you will.

A lot of you know where my passion lies today.  You know what drives me and motivates me.  A lot of you have followed my progress via my other blog.  So as not to be repetitive in my story, I will just link you here to that piece of my life.

So, please do as I did.  Go out and Explore.  Dream.  Discover.
