Most of life is habitual. We do the same things we do today as we did yesterday and the day before and thirty days before that. Some habits are good, lots are bad, but regardless, they make us who we are.
Unfortunately, as today’s thought reminds us, we do not realize we have fallen into a bad one until its to strong to be broken. The key is to successfully control the habits we follow in a way that we recognize early enough if this is a habit we want to fall into. Once you have fallen into this habit, it will be necessary for you to find a new, more positive and productive habit to help you break the one you want to break.
Say for example you routinely come home after work and find yourself in the habit of sitting in front of the tv set for hours at a time. Before you know it, you have gained weight, your heart is weak and your attitude is shot. This is a habit. What will you replace it with? What new, more positive and productive habit will you find that stimulates you enough to give up the boob tube?
