Patience, Acceptance and Faith

“The keys to patience are acceptance and faith.  Accept things as they are, and look realistically at the world around you.  Have faith in yourself and in the direction you have chosen.” ~ Ralph Martson.

Patience is a virtue.  We have been taught and we truly know the importance of being patient.  However, in a world and time of instant gratification, it sometimes seems that patience is a forgotten commodity.

Often we are impatient for something to begin and sometimes for something to end.  Regardless, our impatience is a clear sign of our unhappiness with the present; we want something other than what we have now.  However,  this is not necessarily a bad thing because we are looking to better ourselves.  We find our dissatisfaction with our now because we have a vision of how the future should be.  And this we do at the high cost of not enjoying our present.

So have faith in your now.  Trust that you are where you need to be in order to get where you want to go.
